More than 70 competitors gathered the motocross race in Sandrovo

At the Godzilla MX Track Ruse motopolygon in the village of Sandrovo is held the two-day motocross race, part of the Republican Round of Bulgaria. The competition, organized by the Bulgarian Motorcycling Federation and promoters Pavel Kashov and Todor Hristov and with the support of Sandrovo City Hall, gathered more than 70 participants of different ages.

"This sport, although not so popular, brings together competitors who develop a lot of qualities and skills to succeed. With such events, the municipality manages to attract lovers of excitement who see Sandrovo's potential for the development of such sports, "said Deputy Mayor Borislav Rachev, who congratulated the participants and organizers.
On the more than a kilometer and a half long track there are 11 elements that the competitors have to overcome. The race includes all ATV classes, as well as the most common motorcycle classes - MX50, MX65, MX85 and MX1/MX2. The discipline "X-cross challenge" is conducted on GPS navigation, marked route with markers and lanes on the closed route, as the traffic is carried out between lanes. There are artificial and natural obstacles in the route, with the aim of passing them in the shortest possible time. For the first round, a technical track is built in the vicinity of Godzilla MX Track Ruse, where competitors will compete in navigation on the first day of the race.

The motocross classes that are included in the competition are:

- Super Mini Junior – Age: 4-7 years with engine: 0-50 cc. 2-stroke or 110 cube 4-stroke;

- Mini Junior – Age 7-12 years with engine: 71-100 cc. 2-stroke or 150 cc. 4-stroke;

- Junior – Age: 13-16 years with engine: 100-200 cubic meters 2-stroke or 91-250 cc. 4-stroke;

- ATV-PRO – Age: 16 y. + with engine: 250-525 cc. 4-stroke.

X-Cross classes in the competition are "expert" and "hobby".

The organizers of the event say that their main goal is to unite ATV competitors in Bulgaria, whose number is constantly growing, but have no field for expression. They hope to develop motocross even in the youngest participants, thus our country will have future champions at a high level.
