Nearly 750 children showed exquisite dances at the International Festival "Dancing River"

In the Great Hall and Europe Hall of the Dokhodno Zdanie was held the 17th edition of the International Dance Festival "Dancing River". It was attended by nearly 750 children from 4 to 20 years of age from Bulgaria and Romania. The event is organized by the Municipal Youth House, Impulse Association and Ruse Municipality.

"Don't stop looking for the beautiful and the exquisite all your life. Dance is not just a hobby, but a vocation that changes your worldview forever, "said Deputy Mayor Borislav Rachev, who also awarded some of the winners in the dance competition.

The festival includes the styles of modern dance, jazz dance and contemporary, dance show, MTV show and thematic dance, street dance and hip-hop, classical ballet and character dance. Participants compete in 4 age groups and in the categories "solo", "small group" and "large group".
Jury of the competition were Maria Kassabova – soloist in ballet "Arabesque", choreographer and director, Stanislava Spasova – pedagogue and choreographer at the National School of Arts "V. Stoyanov" and ballet artist at the State Opera Ruse, Anton Ivanov – rehearsal of ballet at the State Opera Ruse and teacher at the National School of Arts "V. Stoyanov", Vesela Vasileva – prima ballerina of the Ruse Ballet, Irena Barbukova – soloist in the ballet of the Ruse State Opera, and Petya Dimitrova – choreographer and dance judge.

The Dancing River Festival aims to promote dance and ballet art among children and young people, to stimulate and develop their talent and artistry and to give them the opportunity for new contacts and performances. The organizers strive to educate young people in a spirit of respect and love for dance and to preserve its uniqueness.
