On September 26, the Ruse riverfront comes alive with the "In the Rhythm of the Danube" festival.

On Saturday, September 26, the Ruse riverfront will transform into a stage for the city festival "In the Rhythm of the Danube." Organized by the Local Fisheries Action Group (FLAG) "Ruse – Ivanovo – Borovo," the event will feature a diverse program including musical performances, a wine bar, children's art workshops, and opportunities to share ideas for the region.

The festivities begin at 4:00 PM with a creative workshop for children led by actor Iliya Devedzhiev. Using recycled materials, the children will craft fish and other aquatic creatures, which will then become part of the festival's decorations. Visitors can also participate in the symbolic "Net of Wishes"—a space dedicated to sharing ideas on how to utilize the Danube and the city's surrounding waterways.

A musical highlight of the program will be performances by young vocalists from the "Prof. Veselin Stoyanov" National School of Arts: Tsvetelina Petrova, Aleksa Etem, Kaliniya Nedelcheva, Anna-Maria Trifonova, and Kristianna Dimitrova.

The evening program continues with the opening of the wine bar at 6:30 PM, followed at 7:30 PM by a performance from the virtuosos of "Jazztet Blagoev": Ventsislav Blagoev (trumpet), Dimitar Blagoev (guitar), Dimitar Shanov (double bass), and Kristiyan Zhelev (drums). Following the concert, a jam session and jazz improvisations will take place until 10:00 PM, featuring Anatoli Angelov (saxophone), Svetoslav "Kozmo" Nedelchev (bass), Valentin Ikonomov (drums), and Deyan and Daniel Dzhumaliyski (percussion).

The festivities will continue with a two-day feeder fishing competition on October 3 and 4. This sporting event will bring together fishing enthusiasts from the region and highlight the active use, recreation, and conservation of inland water bodies. The exact location will be announced a few days before the competition.

Throughout the event, the team from the "Ruse – Ivanovo – Borovo" Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) will present opportunities for grant funding (up to €200,000) to support fishing communities, tourism, and local businesses.

•        September 26 (Saturday) – Ruse riverfront (quay) – the playground near the Winding Bridge and the amphitheater:

•        4:00 PM – Children's creative workshop with Iliya Devedzhiev and the "Net of Wishes";

•        5:30 PM – Musical performances by young talents from the "Prof. Veselin Stoyanov" National School of Arts;

•        6:30 PM – Opening of the wine bar; •        7:30 PM – Jazz concert: "Jazztet Blagoev";

•        8:45 PM – 10:00 PM – Jam session and jazz improvisations;

•        October 3 and 4 (Saturday and Sunday) – Inland water body within the FLAG territory:

•        Feeder fishing competition for amateurs and competitive anglers.

Admission to all events is free.
