Pencho Milkov awarded the Ruse boxer Nicholas Nikolov for the bronze medal

The Mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov met with the boxing competitor of BC "Lokomotiv" Nicholas Nikolov. The young man from Ruse recently won a bronze medal in the category up to 63 kg. at the European Boxing Championship for students, held in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nicholas Nikolov is also the champion of the State Personal Team Boxing Championship for students, held in April.

Pencho Milkov congratulated the young athlete on his achievement and emphasized the importance of his success not only for Ruse, but also for Bulgaria. "You are a person who defends our flag – the flag of the city and of Bulgaria, and you have already achieved great success at a high level. You are an example in every way. Making efforts in every area is key and whatever you do, you need to maintain this level. You bring glory to our city, and your name is already associated with Ruse."

The young boxer from Ruse was awarded by the mayor for his success with a congratulatory address and a cash prize.

The boxer's coach - Alexey Ribchev, with whose help the athlete achieved success in the ring, was also honored with a congratulatory address.

At the end of the meeting, the upcoming preparation for the national championship, which will be held next month, was also discussed. At the end of the year, a new international sports calendar is expected to be released, which will determine the future competitions of the talented boxer.

The mayor wished the young athlete to continue to strictly follow the guidelines of his coach, emphasizing the importance of being healthy and avoiding injuries.

The meeting was also attended by the director of the Municipal Enterprise "Sports Properties" Lacezar Ivanov.
