Ruse and Giurgiu will host the eighth edition of the Free Spirit Run

On September 28 at 11:00 a.m., the eighth edition of the international run "Free Spirit Run Ruse – Giurgiu" will take place. The race will once again bring together professional and amateur runners from different countries, who will run the nearly 15-kilometer route between the two Danube cities. The run is organized by the Municipality of Ruse, the Sports Athletics Club "Dunav", the Sports Club "Giurgiu" and the Municipality of Giurgiu.

In this year's edition of the sporting event, the start will be given in Ruse - in front of the Courthouse. The route will pass through the most emblematic points of Ruse and Giurgiu, with participants crossing the Danube Bridge without stopping at the border crossing. The event carries a message of friendship, unity and an active lifestyle.

Nearly 380 runners from Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, Great Britain, Ukraine and other countries are expected to participate in the race. The prize fund is nearly 6,000 euros.

The Free Spirit Run has established itself as one of the most anticipated sporting events in the region. Last year, the run attracted a record number of competitors from three continents and proved that sport knows no borders.

The organizers invite residents and guests of the city to support the participants and join the celebration of free spirit and friendship beyond borders.
