Ruse athletes won six medals at the National Championship for men and women

Competitors from the Sports Athletics Club "Dunav" won six awards at the National Championship for Men and Women in Athletics, which was held in Sofia. The club's representatives won two gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

The greatest success was achieved by Ivelina Milkova, who ranked first in two disciplines. She triumphed in the shot put with a result of 12.85 meters and in the discus throw with a result of 48.90 meters. Her training is carried out by coach Borislav Ivanov.

Ivan Andreev earned a silver medal in the 5000-meter run with a result of 15.13.85 minutes.

Rosina Nikolova won a bronze medal and the vice-championship title in the 400-meter run with a result of 55.83 seconds, which is also her personal achievement. She also participated in the mixed 4 x 400 meter relay race together with Gabriela Dragneva, Boris Gatev and Daniel Angelov, where the team achieved second place with a result of 3.39.91 minutes. The athletes’ coach is the traitor of SLAK “Dunav” Evgeni Ignatov.

Magdalena Borisova brought the club a second bronze medal in the discipline “Shepherd’s Jump” with a result of 2.60 meters. Her coach is Dimitar Petrov.

Evgeni Ignatov thanked all the competitors and the entire team for the excellent results achieved during the sports season.
