The winners of the first International Canoe Regatta for Juniors and Girls "Lipnik" Cup are clear

The first edition of the International Canoe Regatta for Juniors and Girls, the Lipnik Cup, which took place today in the Lipnik Forest Park, has successfully concluded. The event, which is organized by the Lokomotiv Canoe Sports Club and with the support of the Ruse Municipality, was opened by Deputy Mayor Nikola Lazarov.

“Today’s competition brings together young talents from Bulgaria and their peers from other countries and marks the beginning of a new tradition, which I believe will develop and glorify Ruse as a city of sports and an active lifestyle. Regardless of the results, know that the greatest victory is the desire to develop, improve and move forward with a smile and enthusiasm,” the Deputy Mayor addressed the participants. He expressed confidence that the sports forum will continue over the years and will attract participants from even more countries. Nikola Lazarov presented the chairman of the Lokomotiv Canoe and Kayak Sports Club Evgeni Nedev with a congratulatory address on behalf of Mayor Pencho Milkov.

Nearly 60 rowers from Bulgaria, Romania and Israel took part in the regatta. The competition included two age groups – “under 15.” and "over 15", with participants having to cover the distances of 500 and 200 m.
