Ruse hosted the initiative "Sport with the President"

Today at the City Stadium for the first time in Ruse was held the sports initiative "Sport with the President", which includes athletics disciplines and motor exercises to measure speed, strength, endurance, agility and flexibility. More than 200 children between 6 and 15 years of age competed in the competitive activity "Presidential Test".

Among the best performing participants from all editions will be selected 12 girls and 12 boys, who at the end of the year will receive awards for their excellent performance personally by President Rumen Radev.

The sports event was attended by the mayor Pencho Milkov and his deputy in charge of sports and youth activities Borislav Rachev. A representative of the President's office was Georgi Alexandrov - adviser on youth and sports to the Head of State.
In the challenge, participants competed in the following disciplines: push-ups, sit-ups, 400-meter and shuttle run, long jump from seat, leaning forward from sitting and throwing a medicine ball.

The initiative "Sport with the President" aims through personal example and the collective efforts of institutions, parents, teachers and coaches to increase physical activity and improve the health status of children and young people. Through the sports event, at a later stage, an assessment of the overall physical fitness of children and a comprehensive program for motivation and physical education will be made.
