Ruse joined the information campaign against violence against women and girls

Dozens of citizens of Ruse gathered in the square in front of the Municipality to participate in a flash mob on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25). Organizers of the event were "Center Dynamics" Association and women's clubs Zonta International - Ruse and Soroptimist International - Ruse.

At precisely 5:30 p.m., citizens, volunteers from the BCHK and dancers from the beloved Ruse ensembles "Vito Horo", "Kukeri" and "Nashentsi" performed a dance, symbolizing the unification of people of all ages supporting the cause. The deputy mayor Dimitar Nedev and the swimmer with a cause Teodor Tsvetkov spoke out against the aggression against women and girls.

During the 16-day campaign, which ends on December 10 (Human Rights Day), informational posters will also be distributed in public transport vehicles. They aim to combat indifference on the subject by calling on 112 if you witness or become involved in acts of violence.

Every year, part of the information campaign around the world is also the lighting of emblematic buildings in the color of the campaign - orange. Thus, on November 30 (Tuesday), Rousse will also be involved in the lighting of the Pantheon building.
