Ruse Municipality reports progress on key renovations in educational institutions

Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev inspected several educational institutions in Ruse, where infrastructure projects are being worked on.

He got acquainted on site with the repair activities for the construction of the new academic building of the Secondary School "Vasil Levski". The object is in the final stage of implementation - the building is almost completed, with all 72-hour tests of the installations having been completed, finishing works are being carried out and the building is about to be accepted, after the final report from the construction supervision has been drawn up and a state acceptance committee has been held.

According to the approved linear schedule, the repair activities of the dormitory of the Vocational High School of Agriculture "Angel Kanchev" are also continuing, where work is being carried out at an accelerated pace. There, the project includes the implementation of construction and repair activities that will provide more effective thermal insulation of the facades, roof and floors, as well as the replacement of outdated joinery. The lighting, heating and cooling installations in the building will be modernized, and to increase energy efficiency, a photovoltaic power plant will be built, designed to cover part of the needs of the dormitory. It is also planned to create an accessible environment for students with reduced mobility.

The construction and installation works in the “Zora” Kindergarten have been completed. The main activities were aimed at carrying out major repairs and implementing energy efficiency measures. The project provided for thermal insulation of external walls, including the superstructure and plinth. The building’s joinery was completely replaced, and thermal insulation of the roof was also carried out, as well as measures for the heating installation. A photovoltaic power plant was also installed to produce electricity for its own needs. The implementation of finishing works, which will be implemented by the kindergarten management and include laying antibacterial floor coverings, is pending.

The renovation of the “Otets Paisii” Primary School is also actively progressing. Currently, the gym and STEM classrooms are being insulated, interior plastering is being carried out, as well as terracotta tiles are being laid at the central school entrance. The schedule is being adhered to, and the main construction and repair activities are expected to be completed by the end of March.

The elevator at "Vazrazhdane" Secondary School is also in the final stages of construction and is due for completion.
