Ruse welcomed the first cruise ship of the season with tourists from several countries

At Pontoon No9 at the Ruse pier docks the first cruise ship with tourists for the season. '' Viking Lif '' runs on the Budapest-Giurgiu line and carries more than 170 passengers from the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Brazil.
"The beginning of the tourist season opens doors to new opportunities for visiting tourists to enjoy the beauty of our city, known not only for its rich history, architecture and cultural heritage, but also for its hospitality," said Deputy Mayor Zlatomira Stefanova, who is responsible for the Tourism Unit in Ruse Municipality. She wished on behalf of the mayor Pencho Milkov to the tourist company "Balkantours" Ltd. and the captain of the ship a successful season and satisfied guests to take with them the good experiences and memories of our city.

About 500 stops of passengers will welcome our city under good conditions for shipping. The season first starts a few days earlier than usual, but will end in December, which is also new for cruise trips along the Lower Danube.
The tourists received a specially developed brochure about the sites in the municipality, and the Deputy Mayor gave the captain of the ship the book "Ruse – for the first time in Bulgaria" and the investment profile of Ruse Municipality to introduce the guests in advance to our city.
There are two excursions on the coast, from which passengers can choose - Veliko Tarnovo or a city tour of Ruse.
For the 2024 season, passengers from the US, Germany, France, the UK, Canada and Australia will have the largest share of inbound tourism on the river.
