The State Triathlon Sprint Distance Championship kicked off today at the municipal rowing base in forest park "Lipnik" in the village of Nikolovo. The competition brings together more than 150 competitors from 15 clubs from all over the country, who will show their skills in a total of 8 age groups and separate starts. The sporting event is organized by the Bulgarian Triathlon Association and the Sports Club "Triathlon - Dalyan", with the assistance of the Municipality of Ruse and the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The official start was given by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Ruse Borislav Rachev, who welcomed the competitors and wished everyone a successful competition. He extended a special greeting to Miglena Angelova - President of the Sports Club "Triathlon - Dalyan", for her long-standing dedication to the development of triathlon in Ruse and for her efforts in organizing the championship.

The opening ceremony was also attended by the President of the Bulgarian Triathlon Association, Adelina Bedzheva, who congratulated the participants, coaches and hosts, wishing all competitors a successful performance in each of the disciplines and expressed confidence that the championship will be held at a high level, motivating even more young people to engage in sports.

Today's competition day includes starts in the categories "Men/Women", "Masters 30-39 years and 40+", "Youth and Girls" and "Young Boys and Girls - Junior Age", in which participants go through various combinations of swimming, cycling and running. The award ceremony is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

The competition will continue on Sunday, July 20, at 8:15 a.m. with a start for juniors and girls – junior age in the disciplines of 200 m swimming, 5 km cycling and 1.5 km running. At 9:20 a.m. the youngest competitors in the “Children” category – girls and boys, will take part, who will compete in 100 m swimming, 2.5 km cycling and 750 m running. The start will follow at 10:20 a.m. in the “Benjamin” group – children up to 10 years of age with distances of 50 m swimming, 1.5 km cycling and 250 m running. The final highlight will be the relay discipline at 11:35 a.m., and the award ceremony is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

The Bulgarian Triathlon Association announces that on August 23 and 24, the Lipnik Forest Park will once again host the fifth International Triathlon Tournament "Ruse Cup". The organizer of the event is the Sports Club "Triathlon - Dalyan" with the support of the Municipality of Ruse. The contested race will involve participants from 8 age groups, and they will compete both individually and in relays. The largest distances that will have to be overcome during the tournament will be 1.5 km. swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running.

Romanian "Hawks" and "Blue Wings" will demonstrate aviation and parachute acrobatics

Rousse residents will witness one of the most impressive aviation events in the country - the National Gliding Championship. The competition will be held from July 28 to August 2 at Shtruklevo Airport. Its opening will be on July 27, Sunday, with a spectacular air show, when about 40 aircraft will land on the runways. Some of them will begin arriving on July 26.

The Romanian aerobatic groups Hawks of Romania will come especially for the event with their 5 aerobatic aircraft Extra 300L and Extra 330SC, as well as the Pelicans group with 2 ultralight aircraft SAVANNAH. The program also includes demonstration aerobatics with a MDM-1 FOX glider, a Maule M7 towing aircraft, an aircraft towing by a motor tug and a glider, as well as Blue Wings Romania - a demonstration parachute formation that will make attractive jumps from a CESSNA CARAVAN aircraft.

On Sunday morning at 9:20 a.m., flights of ultralight and light aircraft will begin, as well as gyroplanes - interesting aircraft that are a combination of an airplane and a helicopter and are manufactured in Pravets.

At 10:00 the event will be opened by the official guests, among whom are expected to be the mayor of Ruse Pencho Milkov, the head of the "Georgi Benkovski" Military Aviation School in Dolna Mitropolia - Brigadier General Julian Radoyski, Ani Stamenova - chairman of the Bulgarian National Aeroclub and vice president of the World Aviation Federation, Gheorghe Rutaru - head of the National Aeroclub in Romania, as well as Captain Nikolay Kalaidzhiev - a military pilot of "Spartan", who achieved five world records, three of which are in the Guinness Book of Records.

The air show will begin at 10:30 with the configuration of an airplane tow with a participant in the championship. The most anticipated part begins at 10:50, when 10 parachutists will jump from a CESSNA CARAVAN aircraft. The first of them is a Bulgarian, who will descend with the Bulgarian flag, followed by 9 Romanians who will leave traces in the sky with colored smoke. The "hawks" from the group Hawks of Romania will perform aerobatics figures with their 5 aircraft, which are some of the most prestigious aerobatic aircraft in the world.

All eight non-motorized aircraft participating in the championship will take off at 13:00 for an official training session, marking the beginning of the competition part. Throughout the day, visitors will be able to view about 20 motorized and non-motorized aircraft at a static exhibition, including hang gliders and various types of aircraft. Those who wish will have the opportunity to get acquainted with aviation equipment, take pictures with the aircraft and see some of the best Bulgarian and Romanian pilots.

The daily competitions of the national championship, which can be watched by the public, start from Monday, July 28, and continue until Saturday, August 2. Admission to the events is free.

The championship and the air show are organized by Aeroclub - Ruse with the assistance of the Municipality of Ruse and "Airport Ruse". Thanks to the efforts of the Municipality of Ruse and an investor who, with his own funds, restored the technical suitability of the runway and improved the infrastructure of the terrain, the airport in Shtraklevo - until now with the status of an airfield, received a license from the Civil Aviation Administration. This interaction made it possible for Ruse to host the prestigious national championship in unpowered flying and the large-scale air show.

For the first time in its sports history, Ruse has world beach tennis champions in men's doubles (Yordan Angelov and Lachezar Koev), world vice-champions in mixed doubles (Kalina Popova and Yordan Angelov) and world vice-champions in women's doubles (Kalina Popova and Nevena Tsvenova). The titles were won at the IFBT Beach Tennis World Championships - World Beach Tennis Championship 2025, which was held in Rimini, Italy, under the auspices of the International Beach Tennis Federation. Ruse residents won 5 medals - Kalina Popova has 2 silver, Yordan Angelov - 1 gold and 1 silver, Lachezar Koev - 1 gold medal.

The Bulgarian Beach Tennis Association (BAPT) presented itself with 7 competitors, four of whom are from Ruse - Kalina Popova, Dayana Alexandrova, Yordan Angelov and Lachezar Koev.

At the national team level, the competitors from BAPT (the three from Ruse – Kalina Popova, Yordan Angelov, Lachezar Koev, and the competitor from Asenovgrad Nevena Tsvenova) played the ¼ final phase with Italy, unfortunately losing with a total score of 1 to 2 sets. In the first match, the women's pair was very close to defeating the outplayed Italians. In the second match, the men's pair deservedly defeated the classy pair from Italy. In the third match, our mixed pair (all from Ruse) lost and remained one step away from a medal. Thus, Italy became the world champion in the national team category.

The competitors have ahead of them the 2025 IFBT Beach Tennis European Championships - European Beach Tennis Championships 2025 under the auspices of the International Beach Tennis Federation, which will be held from September 10 to 16 in the city of Muravera in Sardinia, Italy.

Every citizen can now carry their entire health history on their phone thanks to the eHealth mobile application. It provides access to all electronic documents entered into the National Health Information System (examinations, referrals, prescriptions, vaccines, laboratory test results, personal health record).

In order to use the application, citizens need to have a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES). Those who do not have a QES can pair their electronic patient file with their mobile device. Assistance for this can be obtained at the offices of RHI, RHIF or "Information Services" AD.

For the convenience of Ruse residents, RHI is organizing a remote workplace in the lobby in front of the Administrative Service Center of the Ruse Municipality for three days - on July 7, August 4 and September 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Employees will assist anyone who wishes to activate the application on their mobile device and link their file with their phone.

The application has been upgraded with a module "Long-term patient care", which supports the management of processes related to prevention and screening, medical risks and chronic conditions. The goal is to provide personalized and proactive assistance to users, so that they are supported in their pursuit of a longer and more fulfilling life.

The Ministry of Health has initiated a campaign under the motto "With one click - you control the system" in the period from July 1 to September 30, 2025 with the aim of popularizing the electronic health record and the eHealth application.

The deadline for submitting project proposals to update the Program for the Implementation of the Integrated Development Plan of the Municipality of Ruse for the period 2021-2027 (IDPM) is approaching. Citizens and companies can submit until July 10 ideas for projects that can supplement the Plan. The proposals may be related to the development of tourism, sports, youth activities, ecology, social activities, economy and other socially significant activities that increase the quality of life of Ruse residents.

All submitted proposals will be analyzed, evaluated and included as appropriate in the IDPM Implementation Program, with the updated document expected to be approved by the Municipal Council in September.

Those interested are recommended to describe in detail their ideas, their goals and their benefits for society.

In case more than one project is proposed for inclusion in the IDPM Implementation Program of the Municipality of Ruse, a separate Sheet must be filled in for each proposal (project/project idea).

All fields in the “Project Idea Sheet” (.doc) must be filled in to provide information about the project/project idea – name, brief description, estimated cost, implementation period, project readiness, expected results, etc.
