The Municipal Youth House in Ruse together with the Water and Sewerage Company Ruse organized the traditional drawing and photography competition dedicated to March 22 - World Water Day. The competition, held for the 17th consecutive year, has become emblematic for the Ruse Youth House and enjoys great popularity in the country and around the world.
The theme is set annually by the United Nations, and the winning entries are sent to the organization's headquarters in Geneva, where they can also be honored or participate in an online exhibition.
This year, the theme set by the UN is "Using Water for Peace". By participating in the competition, each participant supports the cause of water conservation worldwide and receives a certificate from the UN Water Board.
The competition is held in two areas - drawing and photography. In the Drawing section, the competition is national and participants must be of school age and send by post an original of their work, drawn with materials of their choice and in a size of 35 by 50 cm. In photography the competition is international, with the age range from 14 to 30 years.
Submission of the author's photos is done electronically in the contest registration form. Completion of the registration form is mandatory for all participants, with facilitated completion provided for large groups or classes.
The deadline for submitting the works is March 11, and the announcement of the results on the Facebook page of Youth House - Ruse and the opening of an exhibition with the awarded works will be on March 22.
Full information about the conditions, deadlines and regulations can be found in the statute of the competition, as well as on the page of the Municipal Youth House on social networks.
