The exhibition "Sculpture" by the prominent visual artist Nedzhmi Murat was opened at the Art Gallery in Ruse. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Ruse Pencho Milkov, who congratulated the author for his unique creative vision and his contribution to the cultural life of the city.
The exhibition includes small sculptures and drawings inspired by the relationship between man and nature. Nedzhmi Murat's works impress with their deep emotional charge and explore the characters and relationships between individuals through delicate shapes and light effects. The opportunity for viewers to move around the sculptures and observe the shadows cast by them creates a unique "shared" space where art is revealed in a new way.
Mayor Pencho Milkov noted that such events show the importance of art for the community and its role in the preservation of cultural values. "There is a lot of tenderness and lyrics in the exhibition that touches the emotionality of every person. In the details of each figure we can find a piece of ourselves," the mayor said.
Nedzhmi Murat said that he himself had given something and had taken something from nature and added that he was extremely energized by its power. In his short speech, he defined himself as a lyrical and sensitive person who especially appreciates love and respect between people.
During the conversation between them, Milkov and Murat spent more time on one of the sculptures, discussing the possibility of transforming it into a fountain, symbolizing drawing handfuls of the water of life.
The event was also attended by the Deputy Governor Georgi Georgiev, the sculptors Georgi Radulov and Zyuhtyu Kalit, the Regional Mufti Yudzhel Hayredin and dozens of citizens of Ruse.
Nedzhmi Murat, a graduate of the National Academy of Arts with a degree in Sculpture, has international recognition.
He taught at prestigious universities in Turkey and continued his creative path in the United States before returning to Europe. Since 2016 he has been living and working between Bulgaria and Turkey. His works in the exhibition offer not only an aesthetic experience, but also tell stories of human relationships and connection with nature, dressed in an exquisite form.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until October 30 and promises to be one of the cultural events that will leave a lasting imprint on the art scene of Ruse.
