The festive charity concert of the Ruse Municipality "Christmas in the Heart" filled the Ruse Dokhodno Building

Tonight in the crowded Great Hall of the Dokhodno Building took place the festive charity concert of Ruse Municipality under the title "Christmas in the Heart". The event was attended by municipal children's groups and kindergartens, as well as NGOs involved in the care of people with disabilities. The funds raised will support the cause of the Alexander Rusev Foundation to build a water rehabilitation center in Ruse.

The event was attended by the deputy mayors of Ruse Municipality Encho Enchev and Dimitar Nedev, the Programme Director for Social Policy and Community Services at UNICEF-Bulgaria, representatives and users of social services and day care centres in Ruse, representatives of the Labour Office Directorate, Social Assistance Directorate, as well as trade unions.

The concert was opened by His Eminence Makarius, Vicar of the Metropolitan of Ruse. In his address to the audience he called for humility and more humanity in relations between people.

Special guest of the event was the actress Elena Petrova, who is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She shared her impressions from working with children of Ilian Rusev - Skouri.

Elena Petrova expressed special gratitude to Ruse Municipality and the support of the institution for the most vulnerable children, as well as for the excellent partnership with UNICEF.

With their performances in the concert took part Rousse Children's Opera, Music School "The House", Dance Company "Petrova", Kindergarten "Zora", Association "Child and Space", Dance Formation "Freedum", pianist Daren Ehranov, School for Art and Culture "ARTICULE", Kindergarten "Pinocchio", Association "Raliz - Balise", Elementary School "Olimpi Panov", Dance School "The Center" and Duo "Con Fuoco".

The singer Divna took a special part in the concert. She presented her original song and took part in a duet performance with the young graduate of "Sunny Notes" with Dr. Natalia Konstantinova Emma Velcheva.

"This concert showed once again that when we work together we can make dreams come true. Thank you to everyone who made it possible to get even closer to the construction of the water rehabilitation center in Ruse", said the Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev. He expressed his gratitude to the director of the performance Denitsa Doncheva from the State Puppet Theatre and all the participants in the concert who participated with their work completely free of charge.

All attendees received handmade Christmas hearts from social service users, containing a QR code that leads to the event page.
