The first national championship in dragon boats ended with increased interest

The first for the country Republican Dragon Boat Championship was held in Lipnik Forest Park. 10 crews took part in the attractive race, which participated with 10 and 20-seater boats at a distance of 200 m. The event is organized by the Bulgarian Canoe Kayak Federation and the Municipality of Ruse.

The competition was held in excellent conditions and gave a lot of emotions to the spectators. It was respected by the director of the Municipal Enterprise "Sports Properties" Lacezar Ivanov. A special guest was Ulrike Schreck – a member of the Dragon Boat Commission at the International Federation, who held a seminar for dragon boat judges in the municipal base of Lipnik Forest Park.

We remind you that the Municipality of Ruse won the hosting of the World Dragon Boat Championship, which will be held in 2025.
