A Jaguar from 1972 won the audience award in the 10th edition of the Retro Parade in Ruse

Kristiyan Nikolov from Varna with the Jaguar from 1972 presented by him is the big winner of the audience in the 10th edition of the Parade of Vintage Cars, which was held today in the Park of Youth. 318 participants from 7 countries were lined up on the "Peristeri" alley, where Ruse residents and guests of the city could see them and take pictures with them. The event is under the auspices of the Mayor of Ruse Municipality and is organized by the Auto-Moto Club "Ruschuk" with the financial support of the Municipal Foundation "Ruse - City of the Free Spirit" and business partners.

"It is extremely pleasant for me to see so many fans of old cars here in the Youth Park. The Municipality of Ruse will continue to build on the retro parade with the ambition to make it the largest in the country," Pencho Milkov addressed the organizers of the event and the attendees. For his support in the development of the retro parade, he received a special statuette from the Auto-Moto Club "Ruschuk".

The mayor's award was won by Angel Zhelev from Varna with his Porsche 912. The Municipal Foundation "Ruse – City of the Free Spirit" awarded Ancuta Petru from Romania and his Fiat 850 Spider. The award of the Auto-Moto Club "Ruschuk" went to Nikolay Valchev from Haskovo and his car VW Karmann Ghia.

The retro parade was opened by the Deputy Mayor and Chairman of the Board of the Municipal Foundation Zlatomira Stefanova, who also received an award from the auto-moto club for overall contribution to the implementation of the forum.

The organizers had provided a rich accompanying program, which further enriched the event. The young talents from the vocal group "Slantse" at the Municipal Children's Center for Culture and Art led by Dr. Natalia Konstantinova, the cheerleading team "Extreme" and the Folklore Dance Studio "Zora" at the Municipal Youth House took part in the program with their performances. Special guest performers of the event were the duo "Mania", who also participated in the first edition of the retro parade.
Art and vintage cars were united again through the project "The Charm of Ruse Architecture and the Art of Automotive Engineers", which is implemented under the Culture Program of the Municipality of Ruse by the Auto - Moto Club "Ruschuk". An exhibition of the works of art that took part in the competition of the same name was held within the event, and the audience had the opportunity to vote for the best of them. Within the framework of the project, a trolleybus was also transformed into a work of art by the rolling stock of "Municipal Transport Ruse".
