The first international cartoon competition attracted artists from 49 countries

Over 150 prominent artists from 49 countries participate in the first International Cartoon Competition - Ruse. The art forum is held under the title "Water - River - People". On June 29 at 12. 00 p. m. in the Profitable Building will be opened the exhibition with the awarded cartoons.

The works of the participants are evaluated by a competent jury consisting of: Valeri Alexandrov – Bulgaria, Ivaylo Tsvetkov – Bulgaria, a representative of the Municipality of Ruse and the artists Fernando Pica – Colombia, Fan Lintao – China, Fadi Abu Hassan – Norway and Nadi Benaji – Morocco. The best cartoons will be published in a special E-catalog and will receive a certificate.

The jury will determine the winners of the first, second and third prizes, as well as the three incentive awards. Another 12 works will receive a diploma for excellent performance.

The selected participants give permission to the organizer to use the drawings for the catalogue and exhibitions. The awarded proposals will become the property of the sponsor organizers, the Municipality of Ruse, the Municipal Enterprise "Ruse Art", the Union of Bulgarian Artists - Cartoons Section.
