The German high-tech international company ATN started its operations in August near Ruse. This became clear from the meeting of the mayor Pencho Milkov, the deputy mayor Zlatomira Stefanova, the manager of the company Martin Heutzel and the technical manager for Bulgaria Sava Dzhanfezov.
"This is another opportunity for Ruse - not only for those who will have the chance to work under better conditions and pay, but also for our whole community, which will be able to develop knowledge and capacity for this high-tech activity," the mayor said.
As the main advantages of Ruse and the region Pencho Milkov pointed out the excellent training of technical and engineering staff at the University of Ruse, the possibility of opening dual classes in secondary education, as well as the massive introduction of free classes in robotics and software coding for third grade students in municipal schools.
ATN is a multi-faceted company focused on innovative engineering solutions and machine manufacturing for the manufacturing industry. The operation is highly automated and complies with clean air requirements.
ATN now has its own production facility near Marten. For the first phase of the project, the Bulgarian team will undergo specialized training. In the future, as in the other subsidiaries of the company, the employees will be increased in order to start the actual production of the robotic machines in Bulgaria.
The German company was founded in 1999 and started as a family-oriented business. Its customers include well-known car manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW and Porsche, as well as suppliers of medical equipment, renewable energy and representatives of the construction industry.
ATN has expanded its operations in the United States, Brazil, China, Spain and South Africa, becoming an international leader that actively participates in local economies.
