The Municipal Volleyball Championship for girls from 8 to 10 grade is over

From 8 to 14 January in the Sports Hall of SC "Yalta" was held Municipal Volleyball Championship for girls 8-10 grade. Seven educational institutions took part in the competition - ''Hristo Botev'' Secondary school, ''Baba Tonka'' Mathematical gymnasium , ''Geo Milev'' English Language School, ''Elias Canetti'' Professional gymnasium of Economics and Management, ''Nedka Ivan Lazarova'' Professional gymnasium of Clothing, ''Ivan P. Pavlov'' Professional gymnasium of tourism and ''Joseph Vondrak'' Professional gymnasium of Woodworking and Interior Architecture.
The volleyball teams played a total of 13 matches, the first group was won by the team of ELS "Geo Milev", and their runner-up was MG "Baba Tonka". Their rivals from the other group were the teams of PGEM ''Elias Canetti'' and PGT ''Ivan P. Pavlov'', ranked first and second respectively.
The two semi-finals, the match for third and fourth place and the grand final took place on January 14, and in the first semi-final the team of ELS"Geo Milev" defeated the team of the PGT "Ivan P. Pavlov" and earned a place in the fight for the honors. In the second semi-final, the girls from PGEM ''Elias Canetti'' played stronger than MG ''Baba Tonka'' and deservedly reached the final of the tournament. In the clash for the third place prevailed the team of MG "Baba Tonka" and thus took the bronze honors in the competition.
In the finals, the graduates of PGEM "Elias Canetti", led by their coach Borislava Nikolova, in a contested and interesting duel prevailed over the girls from the team of ELS "Geo Milev" and won the first place.

In the individual awards for the best distributor was awarded to Victoria Ilieva from PGEM "Elias Canetti", Ivayla Kireva from PGEM "Elias Canetti" was chosen as the best forward, and the most valuable player of the tournament was Eva Angelova from ELS "Geo Milev".
On January 15, again in the Sports Hall of SC ''Yalta'', the first six matches of the Municipal Volleyball Championship for juniors 8-10 grade were played. The competition continues on January 21 with six more matches, with the final matches for the prize distribution taking place the following day. At the same time, but in the hall "Dunav", started the municipal basketball championship for boys and girls 5-7 grade. Six matches have taken place on the schedule, and six more matches will be played on Sunday (January 29) - two semi-final matches, a third-place match and the boys' final, as well as the girls' final two matches.
