Two competitions for making Garash cake await amateur chefs from all over Bulgaria

Those wishing to participate in this year's culinary competitions, part of the third edition of the Garash Cake Festival, can sign up until September 5. The sweet race will be held on September 14 /Saturday/ at 10 am in front of the Dokhodno zdanie.

Due to the great interest and the many participants in the previous editions of the holiday, the organizers announce two different competitions in which willing confectioners from all over Bulgaria can sign up. In the first one, the participants will present their own version of the famous chocolate dessert according to the original recipe for its preparation. In the second competition, the chefs will have to unleash their imagination and offer a more unconventional Garash cake. Each participant can sign up for only one of the two competitions. The reception of the finished cakes will begin at 9 am on September 14 in front of the Dokhodno zdanie. The host of the culinary competitions will be the famous actor Vladimir Zombori. After 12 p.m., his fans can meet him for an autograph or photo in a special area located on the square. "Svoboda".

Those wishing to enroll in one of the two competitions will be able to do so on site at the office of the Tourist Information Center at ul. "Alexandrovska" 61, on tel. 082/824 704 or by e-mail ruseart@gmail.com, and places are limited. A jury of professionals will select the best pastry chefs who will receive awards.

The event is organized by the Municipality of Ruse, Municipal Enterprise "Ruse Art", Tourism Unit and the Municipal Foundation "Ruse - City of the Free Spirit". Representatives of business and local cultural institutes are also actively involved in the preparation. Within the framework of the Garash Cake Festival, competitions, culinary workshops and demonstrations for children and adults will also be held.

At 4:30 p.m., in front of the Dokhodno zdanie, chef Radi Stambolov will delight the citizens of Ruse and the guests of the city with specially prepared Garash truffles specially prepared by him.

The celebration will end with a concert of the legend of Bulgarian music Vasil Naydenov, which starts at 20:30 on the stage in front of the Municipality of Ruse.
