Yosefina Yordanova was honored by Mayor Pencho Milkov as "Athlete of the Month"

Yosefina Yordanova, a graduate of the Sport School "Major Atanas Uzunov" and a competitor of the two Ruse clubs of the same name in judo and sambo "Lokomotiv", was awarded today by Mayor Pencho Milkov as "Athlete of the Month".

"Be an example to your classmates not only in your athletic and competitive activities, but also as a person. Your accomplishments are a testament to how perseverance, persistence and drive can not only lead to great success in sport, but also be an inspiration and build a strong example for our community," the Mayor congratulated her. He wished her many more awards.

The graduate of the Sports School won a silver medal at the State Personal Judo Championship for girls in the category up to 48 kg. Josefina also participated in the State Personal Sambo Team Championship for girls, where she fought in the 50 kg category and won a bronze medal.

The initiative for the awarding of outstanding students from the Sports School "Major Atanas Uzunov" - Ruse is the director of the school Evgeni Nedev. The aim is to recognize both proven athletes in the sport and those who have shown excellence in the learning process.
