Young people will virtually govern Bulgaria from Ruse

The educational format "Model Republic of Bulgaria - Danube" will be held in Ruse from March 27 to 29, 2026. This is the second edition of the initiative in the city, and this year the clarification "Danube" has been added to its name.

The event is a platform for simulating state power and gives young people the opportunity to understand how modern democracy functions. It is aimed at young people aged 15 to 29 and aims to encourage active civic participation and the development of key skills such as public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork and reasoned debate.

Within the framework of the simulation, participants will take on the roles of MPs, members of the Council of Ministers, the president and journalists. They will work on real cases and participate in structured discussions.

The national initiative is implemented in the format of the organization "Bulgaria of the Young". In Ruse, it is implemented by the Youth Parliament at the Municipal Youth Center with the support of the Municipality of Ruse and the Regional Administration - Ruse.

Participation is free of charge, and applications are open to young people from all over the country. For the approved representatives who are not from Ruse, accommodation is provided, provided with funds from the Municipal Annual Youth Plan.
