11 citizens of Ruse jumped into the Danube for the Epiphany Cross

11 men embarked on the race to take out the Holy Cross in Ruse on Epiphany. The oldest among them was 53 years old and the youngest - three boys of 18.
The cross was removed by 28-year-old Valentin Tsvetkov, who participated in the ritual for the third time. His wish to the people of Ruse is to be more human to each other and more united.
Mayor of Ruse Pencho Milkov congratulated the participants and wished Valentine and his family health and strength in the new year 2023.
Traditionally, the Holy Metropolis of Ruse organized a procession for Epiphany, which started from the Holy Trinity Cathedral and reached Pontoon 9. An honorary company from the Ruse Garrison was formed on the spot, the XIII Student Guard Detachment was present, as well as the students from the Representative Danube Fleet Detachment.
His Excellency Metropolitan Naum of Ruse performed a festive water blessing and blessed the battle flags, the troops and all present for health and well-being.

The ceremony was also attended by the Municipal Wind Orchestra and among the guests were the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Romania Radko Vlaikov, the Regional Governor Anatoly Stanev and other dignitaries.
