A kindergarten and a school in Ruse will be upgraded under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan

Two project proposals of Ruse Municipality were approved for funding under the "Modernization of Educational Environment" procedure of the Recovery and Sustainability Plan.

Just over 4. 2 million. lv. will be invested in the implementation of energy efficiency and accessible environment measures in the primary school "Otets Paisii" Ruse and kindergarten "Sun".

The project at the school includes major renovation of the six buildings, including thermal insulation of the walls and roof, replacement of windows, energy-saving measures for heating and lighting, and construction of an accessible architectural environment. A Science, Research and Innovation Centre will also be built for the children, providing a pleasant environment to stimulate their curiosity.
The planned works in the kindergarten "Sun" are for the renovation of the central building where 128 children are educated in five age groups and kindergartens. As in the school, the necessary energy efficiency measures will also be implemented here, and in addition, a 50,00 kWp photovoltaic power plant and an energy monitoring system will be built. Disabled access to and within the building will also be improved.

In the coming weeks, the funding contracts will be signed.
