Over 40 competitors participated in the sixth Children's Wushu Tournament, which was held in the hall of the Municipal Youth Center in Ruse under the auspices of the Municipality of Ruse. The event was organized with the assistance of the Student Sports School - Ruse and the Association of Sports Club "Kalagia".

The tournament was opened by Lachezar Ivanov, director of the ME "Sports Estates" Ruse. Congratulations to the participants and hosts were presented on behalf of Krasimira Nikolaeva, director of the Municipal Youth Center, and Maya Petrova, director of the Student Sports School in Ruse.

The event began with demonstrative performances in sync by pairs "Child and Parent". The participants competed individually in technical and style categories, at 4 technical levels, 10 style categories in over 40 disciplines. The medals, awards and certificates were provided by the Student Sports School, the Municipal Youth Center and parents.

The traditional annual concert of the ensembles of the Municipal Youth Center will take place on June 19 at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Income Building.

The concert program will feature the Folklore Dance Studio "Zora", the cheerleading ensemble "Extreme", the Pop and Jazz Singing Studio "Ikonomov" and the Club "Ushu".

The event will give well-deserved recognition to the children and young people who participated in many city concerts during the past school year and worthily represented Ruse, winning awards at national and international competitions and festivals.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased at the box office of the Income Building from June 15 to 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on June 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Ruse Municipality now has a new property at 30 Dr. Petar Beron Street, where the “Assistant Support” service will be administered and provided. It was acquired by the local administration in accordance with a decision of the Municipal Council, which approved the proposal of the Ruse Municipality to invest funds to purchase the premises in order to create a more comfortable environment and better quality service for both the citizens and the team that works with them every day.

Today, the handover protocol was signed, and Mayor Pencho Milkov inspected the building. "Here, an environment will be created in which every citizen who seeks information and assistance will be greeted with respect in a space that inspires trust. A place where people feel heard and supported. For us as a municipality, this is both a responsibility and a commitment. Investing in social infrastructure is an investment in people. I thank the team that works tirelessly to make this happen, and to all who believed that we could do it better," said Milkov after touring the building.

Until now, the service's offices were located at 2 Black sea Street, but the current regulations stipulate that the activities be provided in a building that provides accessibility and a calm atmosphere for all visitors. It is these requirements that raise the question of its own facility, which would be tailored to the specifics and needs of users.

The property is a modern, well-planned building, with a ground floor and two floors, with the necessary sanitary facilities, storage areas, underground parking and adjacent parts of the land. The facility has independent offices with a total built-up area of ​​over 700 sq. m. - enough space to separate a reception area, work rooms, training rooms, meetings and consultations, as well as places for the development of additional activities.

The building is located in close proximity to the Central City, with very good transport connections - only about twenty meters from a public transport stop, which makes access easy and convenient for citizens. For the convenience of visitors, an elevator suitable for people with disabilities was installed. The sanitary facilities on the first floor are also adapted for them, and a mobile ramp will ensure their unhindered entry.

The acquisition of the property is financed entirely from the accumulated transitional balance of the state-delegated social service.

A solemn ceremony in front of the busts of Hristo Botev and Vasil Levski in King Michael I Park in Bucharest marked the 150th anniversary of the death of the great Bulgarian revolutionary and poet. Among the official guests were the Deputy Mayor of Ruse Municipality Encho Enchev, the Regional Governor of Ruse Prof. Lyubomir Vladimirov and the Deputy Regional Governor Valery Yordanov.

The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Romania and the Ambassador of Bulgaria to our northern neighbor H.E. Radko Vlaykov. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Bulgarian community in our northern neighbor, cultural and public organizations and local and state authorities from Bulgaria.

On the occasion of the memorable date, Archpriest Kiril Sinev – representative of the Bulgarian Patriarchate to the Romanian Patriarch, served a memorial service in memory of Hristo Botev and those who died for the freedom of Bulgaria.

On behalf of the Mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov, Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev laid a wreath and paid tribute to the memory of the Bulgarian heroes.

“The work of Hristo Botev is a symbol of the Bulgarian aspiration for freedom – the ultimate expression of the revolutionary spirit and self-sacrifice in the name of independence. Today, when we are together in front of his monument, we bow our heads before his feat and show young people that the memory of the heroes is alive and that their ideals continue to unite us as a people,” said Encho Enchev.

In his speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Romania H.E. Radko Vlaykov emphasized the importance of historical memory for the preservation of Bulgarian identity and spirituality. "The memory of Botev and all those who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of Bulgaria is our responsibility and duty to future generations. It is through such initiatives that we show that the Bulgarian spirit knows no borders and that the values ​​that unite us remain alive today," said Vlaykov.

The solemn ceremony continued with performances by representatives of the National Community Center "Hristo Botev - 1908" - Ruse.

Traditionally, after the ceremony, wreaths and flowers were also laid in front of the monuments to Botev and Levski.

The children's choir "Danube Waves" with conductor Vessela Todorova and pianist Gergana Vicheva from the Municipal Children's Center for Culture and Art took part in the international festival "Victoria Adriatic Choral Competition" in Croatia. In competition with choirs from Slovenia, Poland and the Czech Republic, the performers won a gold diploma of the first degree in the category "Classical Choral Music", a special award for an exceptional choral program and the Grand Prix for overall performance.

The children interpreted works by Thomas Morley, Miklos Koshar, Mikhail Gogolin, Ivan Spasov and Milko Kolarov. An international jury consisting of Michele Josia /Italy/, Andreja Cergol /Slovenia/, Goran Jerkovic /Croatia/, Zorica Kozlovački /Serbia/ and Helga Dukaric /Croatia/ highly appreciated the choir's performance and awarded it 95.20 out of a total of 100 points.

"Clear sound, balance between the parts, chemistry between conductor and choir, wonderful phrasing, complex and impressive repertoire, excellent program, the traditions of the Bulgarian choral school are evident", this is a small part of the jury's analyses made after the competition.
