Artists from Ruse can apply for grants under three competition programs of the National Fund "Culture"

The National Fund "Culture" has announced three competition programs for non-grant financial assistance for 2024. The programs "Amateur Art '24", "Creation '24" and "Festivals '24" are open for applications.

The Amateur Art 2024 program focuses on the development and promotion of amateur art, achieving inclusion through art activities and building links between cultural values ​​and contemporary art. The total amount of funding for the program is BGN 495,360. BGN 188,237 is planned for the "Performing Arts" direction; for "Music" - BGN 113,933; for "Screen Arts" - BGN 49,536; for "Visual Arts" - BGN 113,933 and for "Literature" - BGN 29,722. Bulgarian cultural organizations and sole traders operating in the field of culture within the meaning of the Law on the Protection and Development of Culture, including commercial companies, foundations, associations, community centers, as well as self-supporting natural persons with Bulgarian citizenship. Those wishing to participate must apply by September 12, 2024.

Highlights of the Creation 2024 program are the support of projects for the creation of cultural products, the upgrading and expansion of the professional development of creators, organizations and teams through the creation of a new cultural product and a new author's artistic work. The total amount for the implementation of the program is BGN 2,064,000. Of this, BGN 433,440 has been allocated to the "Music" department; for "Scenic Arts" - BGN 619,200, for "Screen Arts" - BGN 288,960; for "Visual Arts" - BGN 350,880; for "Literature" - BGN 371,520. Until 3:00 p.m. on September 11, 2024, both Bulgarian cultural organizations within the meaning of the Law on the Protection and Development of Culture and self-supporting individuals with Bulgarian citizenship can apply for the program.

The "Festivals" 2024 program finances organizations implementing festivals in the field of performing arts, music, literature, visual and screen arts. The program is held in two modules - "Existing Festivals" and "New Festivals". "Existing festivals" include festivals that have already held a minimum of five editions and proven sustainability. New festivals are those that hold their fifth edition inclusively. The total amount of funding for the program is BGN 825,600, with BGN 625,600 for "Existing Festivals" and BGN 200,000 for "New Festivals". The program can include Bulgarian cultural organizations within the meaning of the Law on protection and development of culture. The deadline for submission of documents is September 11, 2024.

Applications for any regular (financed from the state budget) program are made through the platform of the National Culture Fund. The indicative deadline for evaluating project proposals is October 2024, and for concluding contracts - November 2024.
