Nine schools in Ruse municipality will modernize classrooms to improve the educational process

Nine schools on the territory of Ruse municipality will have the opportunity to furnish new classrooms in the next school year. Funding is provided by the Ministry of Education and Science under the National Program "Ensuring a modern, safe and accessible educational environment". The program aims to create conditions for equal access to preschool and school education, as well as to increase the quality of the educational process, including the development of the competences and skills of children and students.

Educational institutions have been approved to receive funds to equip classrooms where students will be trained to acquire key competencies in Bulgarian language and literature, history and civilizations, philosophy, foreign languages, geography and economics, and technology and entrepreneurship. With the allocated funds, it will also be possible to renovate rooms for activities of interest for the whole organization of the school day, libraries and reading corners.

Two of the approved schools are state and 7 are municipal. The total amount allocated by the Ministry of Education and Culture for the furnishing of classrooms in the municipality of Ruse is BGN 139,579. It will be distributed between "Angel Kanchev" Elementary School, "Ivan Vazov" Elementary School, "St. Panov", Secondary School "Hristo Botev" in Ruse, Elementary School "Hristo Smirnenski" in Dolapite and Elementary School "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" in Semerdzhievo. Offices will also be furnished by two state educational institutions - the Professional High School of Economics and Management "Elias Canetti" and the Professional High School of Transport.

With the provided funding, educational institutions can purchase educational literature for learning foreign languages, fiction, collections and dictionaries, wall maps, boards and atlases, portraits of revolutionaries and writers, etc. The Ministry of Education and Culture specifies that the classrooms will be furnished according to the studied subject, including themed student desks, photo wallpapers, etc. According to the requirements of the ministry, they must be equipped by June 30, 2025.
