District Information Point - Ruse acquainted the residents of three municipalities with the new opportunities for European funding

The District Infomation Point in Ruse held a series of information meetings in the municipalities of Borovo, Byala and Vetovo on the topic: "New opportunities for European funding in Ruse District". The meetings were attended by Miroslav Manev, representative of the cross-border programme "Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria", who introduced the attendees to the upcoming calls under Priority Axis 2 and 4 of the programme.

Priority 2 "Green Region" will support activities related to climate change adaptation, nature protection, biodiversity conservation, green infrastructure, reduction of all forms of pollution, environmental protection and adaptation to climate change.

The opening of Priority 4 "Integrated Region" is also forthcoming, which will encourage the development of the region through integrated measures related to the development of the European Bicycle Corridor - Euro-Velo. The activities will be aimed at promoting the development of cycling infrastructure, tourism and cultural heritage, environment, human resources and education. For the first time, small and medium-sized enterprises will also be financed under the program.

The experts from the District Infomation Point – Ruse showed a special presentation with sample concepts for integrated territorial investments in small settlements. They also explained about open and upcoming procedures by the end of the year under the programs of the Partnership Agreement 2021-2027.
