The 7th Innovative Expo was launched at the Kanev Center of the University of Ruse.
"Be explorers and dream boldly. I am glad that once again our university gives young scientists and innovators the opportunity to present their work to the public," welcomed Mayor Pencho Milkov.
The Rector Acad. Hristo Beloev noted that this year's novelty is the participation of foreign students studying in Ruse under the Erasmus program, as well as students from Taraclia, Moldova.
The special guest of the event was the deputy chairman of Taraclia region Alexander Borimechkov.
The Bulgarian folklore ensemble "Talismanche" in Taraclia, led by Tatiana Kajriak, also greeted the participants with a Daichovo Choro.
This year's expo gathered 50 stands where students, pupils and lecturers presented their inventions, innovative concepts, business projects and scientific developments.
The event is organized for another year by the academic leadership of the University of Ruse and the Student Council under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Science.
Official guests were also the deputy mayor Dimitar Nedev, the deputy regional governor Detelina Acheva, the chairman of the Municipal Council Ivo Pazardzhiev, the head of the RDE Dr. Rositsa Georgieva, exec. director of Evrika Foundation Grigor Tsankov and other representatives of the state and local authorities.
