From 1 to 4 August in. Turda, Romania, hosted the World Aeromodelling Championship for free-flying models in the F1E class. Nearly 40 athletes from 13 countries, including the USA, Japan and Ukraine, took part in the championships.
Bulgaria was represented by the competitors of the Sports Model Club "Prista" - Ruse Eleonora Pavlova and Velizar Vladev. Despite the extremely changeable weather conditions during the race, Eleonora fought for 2nd place in the women's race and 3rd place in the overall top three. Velizar managed to reach 29th place.
With her achievement Eleonora Pavlova became the first Bulgarian athlete to qualify in the general classification of this attractive sport and will be deservedly awarded with the title "Master of Sport".
