Mayor Pencho Milkov sent condolences to the Holy Synod on the occasion of the death of Patriarch Neophyte

Mayor Pencho Milkov and the leadership of Ruse Municipality express their sincere condolences on the occasion of the death of His Holiness Neophyte – Patriarch Bulgarian and Metropolitan of Sofia. The condolences sent to the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church read:

"In the memory of our society, His Holiness will remain as an example of an outstanding spiritual leader who dedicated his life to strengthening the unity of the Church and to affirming Christian values and virtues in our challenging times. He was a voice of inspiration and hope for all who had the opportunity to experience his ministry and spiritual mentoring.

We will also bear the memory of his pious mission as Metropolitan of Ruse, which not only strengthened the faith of local Christians, but also encouraged the spiritual development and well-being of the city and the region.

The legacy of His Holiness as a man of peace and understanding will continue to affect our church and society, and will continue to inspire future generations to follow the path of spiritual service and love of neighbor.

Eternal and blessed be his bright memory! His kingdom of heaven!"
