The District Information Center – Ruse held a public discussion of the Concept of Integrated Territorial Investments (CITI), which has passed an assessment of administrative compliance and eligibility, which will be implemented on the territory of Slivo pole Municipality and Ruse Municipality.
The event was attended by Ivaylo Kadishev - Director of the Economy, Investments, International Cooperation and Projects Directorate as a representative of the beneficiary Ruse Municipality and the Mayor of Slivo pole Valentin Atanasov by the partners. The event was also attended by municipal councilors from the Municipal Council of Slivo pole, mayors of mayoralties, representatives of Chitalishtes and other stakeholders. The expert of District Information Center – Ruse, Ana Burenkova presented a presentation of CITI by introducing the attendees to the planned activities that will bring long-term benefits to the local community. The concept is integrated and covers 8 project ideas that will be funded under the ''Regional Development Program'' 2021-2027 and the ''Human Development Program'' 2021-2027.
The project activities directly correspond to the needs of the local level and aim to promote the sustainable and integrated development of both territories. The projects envisaged for implementation are aimed at improving mobility and cross-border cooperation, promoting local socio-economic development, creating conditions for tourism and improving the quality of life in the region through integrated instruments.
The Mayor of Slivo pole Municipality Valentin Atanasov closed the meeting with the following message: "I thank Ruse Municipality for the partnership in this concept and the Regions in Development Program for the opportunity to finance activities in a rural area like ours. Certainly, the implementation of such projects will contribute to the development of the region as a whole. "
