At the invitation of the Embassy of China in Bulgaria, the Mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov and the Deputy Mayor in charge of International Programs and Projects, Investments and Property Zlatomira Stefanova participated in the official opening of the Bulgarian-Chinese Investment Forum and Trade Exhibition of leading Chinese companies in the field of technology, innovation, digitalization, transport and energy. The Chinese high-end exhibition for finding business partners was held at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. It was organized by the Embassy of China and the InvestBG Agency.
25 large Chinese companies (Huawei, ZTE, Hisense, Great Wall, etc.), 4 Bulgarian and international agencies that present Chinese products covering renewable energy, digital transition, financial services, consumer electronics, infrastructure repair, electric vehicles, biotechnology, logistics participated.
President Rumen Radev delivered a welcoming speech to the attendees. The Head of State personally congratulated the Mayor of Ruse Pencho Milkov for his active role in supporting foreign investors. The mayor also received congratulations on the cooperation with China from H.E. Dai Qingli – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Bulgaria. During the talks, it was emphasized that the relations of the Municipality of Ruse with China are constantly deepening in the field of culture, business and sports. A treaty for the twinning of Ruse with the Chinese city of Yichun, Jiangxi province, is to be signed soon.
The opening of the forum was attended by representatives of the Bulgarian government - ministers and deputy ministers, heads of Bulgarian business companies, legal and legal firms and banks.
The event, which aimed to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of investment, is part of the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China.
