Ruse welcomed 2024 with a spectacular concert and a lot of mood

"Let us open our hearts so that good may enter into them, because only good can change our world. Say 'I love you' to someone, hug someone, our strength is in togetherness. "

With these words the mayor Pencho Milkov addressed the people of Ruse and the guests of the city who filled the Liberty Square.

For the festive concert on the stage in front of Ruse Municipality, Stefan Valdobrev and ''The Usual Suspects'' performed their most beloved hits.

Traditionally, at midnight the attendees heard the New Year's speech of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. A festive fireworks and Danube dance followed, which captivated young and old alike. It was led by the dance formation "Zholtitsa" and representatives of Ruse folklore groups.

The festive program ended an hour after midnight with the performances of popular Bulgarian artists.

The event was organized in partnership with TVN Bulgaria and hosted by Desislava Nikolova.

For the convenience of its citizens Ruse Municipality had provided additional free trolleybus lines.
