| string | description | Two graduates of Ruse schools and one student at the Angel Kanchev Regional Educational Service were awarded the "Ruse-21st Century" award on the eve of the Day of the People's Enlighteners - November 1. It is awarded annually and was established to encourage outstanding students from educational institutions in the territory of the Ruse municipality. The award ceremony took place in the Meeting Hall in the building of the local administration. 
The 12th graders Veronika Ilieva and Elena Yordanova and the student at the “Angel Kanchev” Primary School Hristo Hristov received diplomas and plaques from the Mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov in the presence of Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev, PhD. Rositsa Georgieva - Chairwoman of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Innovation and Digitalization (SCESID) at the Municipal Council and Head of the RDE-Ruse, and Aidoan Dzhelil, Municipal Councilor and member of the V in the Municipal Council-Ruse. 
Veronika Pavlova Ilieva is a 12th grade student at the “Prof. Veselin Stoyanov” Primary School - Ruse in the piano class of Evgeni Zhelyazkov. She has been honored for winning numerous awards from national and international competitions, including: 1st prize at the International Competition PREMIO TOSCANA CITTA’ DI CASCINA in Cascina, Italy; The Grand Special Prize "Milcho Leviev" and the Special Prize "Odeon" from the competition of the same name in Plovdiv (2025). She participated in a number of events of the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" - Sofia, the House Museum "Pancho Vladigerov" - Shumen and the New Bulgarian University. She was chosen to participate as the only representative of Bulgaria in the prestigious music academy Fiestravaganza in Berlin and performed in the large hall of the IKD University of the Arts in Berlin. In the Assembly Hall in the Municipality of Ruse she was accompanied by the director of the National School of Arts"Prof. Veselin Stoyanov" Zdravko Saraliyev. 
Elena Darinova Yordanova is a student of the 12th grade of the "Baba Tonka" Primary School and received the award for enriching the history of the school and affirming the authority of Ruse at the national and international level. In addition to the prizes won at national Olympiads and competitions in physics and astronomy in recent years, she also won a silver medal at the 2022 International Astronomy Olympiad in Matera, Italy, a bronze medal at the 2023 International Astronomy Olympiad in Beijing, China, a silver medal at the International Tournament of Young Physicists in Hungary - 2024. In 2025, she won third place at the national round of the Astronomy Olympiad in Dimitrovgrad, a bronze medal at the International Tournament of Young Physicists in Sweden and a gold medal at the International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics in India. Due to her inability to attend in person, the award was received on her behalf by the director of the "Baba Tonka" MG, Galina Bobeva. 
Hristo Hristov is a third-year student majoring in "Software Engineering", Faculty of Natural Sciences and Education at the "Angel Kanchev" University. The distinction is awarded for his academic success – “Excellent” (6.00) and for active participation in numerous scientific forums and competitions with prestigious awards won, including the crystal prize THE BEST PAPER with the scientific paper “Graph Shortest Path Algorithms and their Applications”. He performed excellently at the Innovative Youth Expo 2025 with the second prize for participation in the student Olympiad in Informatics. He is one of the most active participants in the “Creating Computer Games” club. He is the author of the “Arcane Bastion” project, which successfully demonstrates the presentation of software applications and systems from the professional field of Informatics and Computer Science and at the Innovative Youth Expo. 
A total of 8 nominations were received by the municipal “Education” Directorate. They were evaluated by a committee composed of: PhD. Rositsa Georgieva, Chairwoman of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Innovation and Digitalization at the Municipal Council – Ruse, and members: Encho Enchev, Deputy Mayor “Education and Culture” in the Municipality of Ruse; Tsvetoslav Dimitrov, Director of the Directorate “Education and Culture” at the Municipality of Ruse; Tatyana Nahabedyan, Deputy Chairwoman of the Committee; members of SCESID - Aidoan Dzhelil, Academician Hristo Beloev, Evgeni Ignatov, Eleonora Nikolova, Kalin Ivanov, Milen Boev, Mitko Kunchev, Nora Stoyanova, Yasen Lazarov, as well as Sasho Shterev, Head of the “Education” Department and Zornitsa Ivanova, Chief Inspector in the same department. 
The recipients of this year’s “Ruse-21st Century” Prize also received a cash prize of 1,077 leva.
